Job Description This role ensures that technical solutioning and infrastructure design are seamlessly integrated within the team. By embedding this capability within the team, we eliminate the need to queue for external SA or cloud platform support, enabling faster iterations, tighter alignment with product goals, and reduced dependency on shared delivery units. This role is key to ensuring the speed, autonomy, and scalability of our product builds

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead the end-to-end design of scalable, secure, and cloud-native data product architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.

• Develop solution blueprints across data ingestion, processing, storage, and access layers-covering both internal use cases and third-party consumption.

• Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, compliance, and monetization requirements.

• Establish architectural guidelines, coding standards, and solution validation processes.

• Guide decisions on platform/tool selection, integration methods, and design trade-offs.

2. Cloud Platform Engineering

• Design and implement infrastructure on cloud and related platforms to support data products.

• Optimize system architecture for cost-efficiency, elasticity, and fault tolerance.

• Knowledgeable in infrastructure-as-code implementation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for repeatable, secure deployments.

3. Data Security, Compliance & Integration Readiness

• Embed data privacy and security-by-design principles into all solution architectures.

• Define and enforce access control policies, encryption standards, and secure data sharing mechanisms across clean rooms and APIs.

• Ensure alignment with Globe's enterprise governance frameworks.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the Data Architect, Engineers, QA, Product Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are executable, efficient, and ready for scale.

• Act as a key advisor during Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot testing, and go-live phases.

• Support discussions when architectural validation is needed.

5. Platform Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Continuously evaluate and optimize existing solutions to meet evolving business needs and technology standards.

• Track emerging trends in cloud architecture, data products, and monetization platforms to inform future improvements and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in solution architecture, cloud infrastructure design, and enterprise data product development.

• Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-native architectures for data platforms, APIs, and analytics products.

• Strong background in data security, privacy-by-design, and compliance architecture (especially in telco or regulated environments).

• Experience leading end-to-end solution design across AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and related technologies.

• Background in working with cross-functional teams (product, data, engineering, governance) to align technical solutions with business goals.

Level of Knowledge:

• Deep expertise in cloud architecture principles, especially on AWS. Other Cloud architecture knowledge is an advantage.

• Strong command of modern data platform design, including data lakes, data warehouses, and event-driven architectures.

• Knowledge of privacy-preserving data processing, including pseudonymization, anonymization, and secure data sharing protocols.

• Familiarity in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), DevSecOps, and CI/CD integration for cloud-based environments.

• Familiarity with data governance, including lineage, classification, and metadata frameworks is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Excellent problem-solving and architectural decision-making ability

• Clear communication and documentation of architectural designs and trade-offs

• Business-oriented thinking with a focus on delivering scalable and monetizable solutions

• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment

• Technical Skills:

• Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in AWS. Other Cloud Platform working knowledge is an advantage.

• Knowledgeable in any Architecture Tools (e.g. UML, ArchiMate, Lucidchart, , TOGAF frameworks)

• Security & Privacy: Role-based access control, tokenization, encryption-at-rest/in-transit.

• Data Platforms: Snowflake and/or Databricks. Redshift and BigQuery is an advantage.

• Programming/Scripting: Python, SQL, Bash (for orchestration or POC support) is an advantage.

• Familiarity in Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform or CloudFormation is an advantage.

• Familiarity in DevSecOps & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, automated testing pipelines
