Compensation range: AUD $3,000 - $3,500/month

About our client
Our client is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Australia, specialising in helping automotive and motorcycle brands grow through high-performing lead generation campaigns. They manage paid media for dealer groups across Australia, with a heavy focus on performance, transparency, structured optimisation, and measurable results.
About the role
The Senior Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for the planning, execution, optimisation, and reporting of Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns focused on lead generation (not e-commerce). This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts with precision and consistency.
You'll work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and internal creative teams to ensure campaigns align with overall marketing objectives and deliver high-performing results across the automotive, caravan, and motorcycle industries.
Responsibilities:
A. Campaign Execution & Optimisation
- Build, manage, and optimise Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display,
Video, Vehicle Ads, and Meta Ads campaigns. - Conduct regular performance audits to identify improvements and optimisation opportunities.
- Implement structured A/B testing across creative, copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, and audiences.
- Maintain consistent and high-quality campaign structure and naming conventions across accounts.
B. Performance & Reporting
- Monitor daily/weekly performance trends, budget pacing, lead quality, and conversion efficiency.
- Produce detailed performance reports with insights and recommended next steps for internal teams.
- Analyse client performance by channel, campaign type, audience, and funnel stage to identify improvements.
C. Technical & Tracking
- Set up conversion tracking, pixels, UTM tagging, custom conversions, and event tracking.
- Collaborate with internal team on landing page optimisation and CRO recommendations.
- Troubleshoot tracking discrepancies across GA4, Google Ads, Meta, CRM, and reporting platforms.
D. Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with internal Account Managers and Creative team to implement campaign updates and testing plans.
- Suggest creative angles, audience targeting strategies, and campaign experiments to improve results.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, detail, and quality control across all accounts.
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years hands-on experience in Google Ads and Meta Ads campaign
management. - Proven track record in lead generation campaigns (preferably within automotive or related industries).
- Strong experience with lead generation (service-based or local business experience preferred).
- Strong analytical ability with a deep understanding of advertising metrics and
optimisation levers. - Proficient with Google Ads interface, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, Conversion Tracking, and Pixels.
- Excellent understanding of bidding strategies, audience targeting, funnel strategy, remarketing, lookalikes, and PMax structure.
- A strong understanding of Feed-based campaigns, VLA's (Google Vehicle Ads), AIA (Automotive Inventory Ads).
- Excellent understanding of ad metrics, optimisation techniques, and budget pacing.
- Proficient in ClickUp or similar project management tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for internal team coordination.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues or opportunities.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to long-term remote work.
Nice to have:
- Experience running campaigns for automotive dealerships or similar "high-intent lead" categories.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Looker Studio or Agency Analytics.
- Understanding of CRO, landing page testing, and form conversion optimisation.
