Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, CFA) preferred. Advanced Degree (Preferred)
  • MBA or a relevant advanced degree to understanding of business strategies and technical sales.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or commercial finance roles, with significant experience in the construction sector.
  • Specific experience in pricing, commercial contracts, sales forecasting, sales reporting and analysis.
  • Management role demonstrating ability to lead and develop commercial team. Experience working in a multinational company is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
  • Understanding of construction chemicals, including their applications, benefits, and technical specifications

What you'll be doing

  • Provide strategic financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the commercial function
  • Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial and commercial objectives
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support the management of commercial activities
  • Contribute to the implementation of financial controls and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Provide financial expertise and support for special projects and initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Proven track record of providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Excellent financial modelling and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Proficiency in using financial reporting and business intelligence tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with accounting standards, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
