Role Overview
As a QA Specialist you will be dedicated to one of our key clients, acting as the final gatekeeper for their software releases. Your primary focus is Regression Testing: ensuring that weekly deployments are stable, functional, and that new updates do not disrupt existing core features.
This role requires a blend of technical testing expertise and the professional communication skills necessary to represent our company standards to the client's development team.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Regression Testing: Execute meticulous test cases for each scheduled deployment (approx. 5–6 hours per cycle).
- Release Analysis: Review client release notes to identify high-impact areas and potential risks to the existing environment.
- Professional Bug Reporting: Document defects with high-quality evidence (clear reproduction steps, severity levels, and screenshots/Loom videos).
- Client-Dev Coordination: Interface with the client's developers to verify fixes and provide status updates on resolved issues.
- Test Suite Maintenance: Continuously update the client's regression checklists as the SaaS product evolves.
- Readiness Reporting: Deliver a formal "Post-Testing Summary" after each cycle, providing a "Go/No-Go" recommendation for the production launch.
Qualifications
- 2+ Years in SaaS QA: Experience specifically within the SaaS industry, understanding the fast-paced nature of weekly release cycles.
- Client-Facing Mindset: Strong professional etiquette and the ability to work as an extension of a client's team.
- Attention to Detail: An exceptional ability to identify edge cases and regressions that others might miss.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert use of Browser DevTools (to capture logs/console errors) and experience with bug-tracking software (Jira, Linear, or similar).
- Independent Execution: Proven ability to manage your own time and deliver high-quality results within a fixed 5–6 hour window.
- Equipment: A reliable, high-speed internet connection and a secure, private home office setup.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Project Management Tools: Experience with Slack, Jira, or Notion for team coordination.
- API Testing: Basic familiarity with Postman for verifying backend stability during deployments.
- Video Reporting: Proficiency using tools like Loom or CleanShot to provide narrative-driven bug reports.
