Role Overview

The Operations Director is the backbone of execution for all of the operations of the Company. You will lead the full operational engine and own the end-to-end operations of the company - ensuring that commitments made to clients are delivered predictably, efficiently, and profitably.

This role requires a systems builder and enforcer, not just a coordinator. You will be handling operational department heads, and will be responsible for aligning the end-to-end operations of the company, enforcing accountability, and building the operational discipline that allows the company to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. End-to-End Operations Leadership. Lead and oversee all operational functions — fabrication, procurement, construction, and project delivery — while managing department heads to ensure alignment and accountability.
  2. Execution and Delivery. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by anticipating bottlenecks, resolving issues early, and enforcing smooth handoffs across teams.
  3. Systems and Accountability. Build and enforce SOPs, drive discipline through KPIs and scorecards, and establish early-warning tools to flag risks, overruns, and delays.
  4. Strategic Integration. Work closely with other departments to support cash flow requirements and align operational capacity with client commitments.
  5. Team Development. Mentor and grow department heads, foster a culture of discipline and problem-solving, and build a resilient operational structure.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading operations in construction, fit-out, and large-scale project-driven industries (experience with high end fit-outs, site execution, and subcontractor/supplier management is a must).
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role overseeing multiple projects and teams.
  • Strong background in project scheduling, construction workflows, procurement, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects on time and within budget.
  • Skilled at building and enforcing systems (SOPs, escalation protocols, reporting cadences) rather than relying on ad hoc management.
  • Comfortable leading in a growth-stage environment — fast-paced, evolving, and demanding hands-on leadership.
  • Known in past roles as a respected leader who can command teams, manage subcontractors/suppliers, and build trust across functions.
