About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Duty Engineer to join our team at SotoGrande Hotel & Convention Center in Bauan, Batangas. As a Duty Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's electrical, mechanical, and building systems. This is a full-time position that will involve working onsite at our hotel location.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of the hotel's electrical, mechanical, and building systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions in the hotel's systems, and taking prompt action to rectify them
  • Coordinating with external contractors and vendors for the repair and maintenance of specialised equipment
  • Implementing and monitoring safety protocols to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and the hotel's physical assets
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and system performance data
  • Providing technical support and advice to hotel management and other departments as needed

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Duty Engineer or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and building systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints
