About the Role

We are looking for a Same Day Surgery (SDS) Medical Coder to join our growing healthcare team. The role focuses on accurately reviewing medical records related to Ambulatory Surgery cases and assigning the correct ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.

You will ensure accurate sequencing of codes and application of Level I and II modifiers in accordance with official coding guidelines, coding clinics, and CPT assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze medical records for SDS (Same Day Surgery) or Ambulatory Surgery cases.
  • Assign accurate and complete ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes for procedures and diagnoses.
  • Ensure compliance with coding rules, payer requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Apply appropriate sequencing and modifiers following official guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the clinical and audit teams to maintain coding accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work onsite (Quezon City or BGC).
  • Active certification required: CPC, COC, CCS-P, and/or CCS.
  • Graduate of BS Nursing or any Medical Allied Course.
  • At least 1 year and 6 months of solid SDS medical coding experience.
