What you'll do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage financial operations across multiple clients, always ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and provide timely monthly reports. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Microsoft Excel or similar for complex data analysis and possess strong skills in interpreting financial data to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Maintain Accurate Financial Records:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Assist clients in areas such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end and year-end close procedures.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and prepare accurate financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
  • Analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings to management.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax forms (e.g., sales tax, payroll tax) in compliance with regulations.

Data Management and Systems:

  • Utilise accounting softwares (e.g. Xero) to manage all financial data.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data visualisation techniques for robust financial modelling and reporting.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant Australian legal requirements.
  • Maintain organised and accessible financial records for audits.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of strong internal financial controls.

Successful candidates must have:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or in a similar financial role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in data analysis is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding and experience with accounting software packages.
  • Ability to work across multiple clients in different industries throughout Australia.
  • In-depth understanding of bookkeeping procedures and Australian accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certification: CPA or Bookkeeping certification is a plus.

Work Arrangements:

  • Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Philippine Time)
  • Work Setup: On-site - Be part of a collaborative and energetic team in a professional office environment.
  • Location: Parkway Corporate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
