Job Summary

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial documents, and ensuring compliance with BIR, government regulations, and internal accounting standards. The role supports daily financial operations and helps the Accounting/Finance team prepare required reports.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Recording & Documentation

  • Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, disbursements, receipts).
  • Maintain and update General Ledger, Subsidiary Ledgers, and other accounting schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries.

2. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely posting.
  • Prepare and monitor aging reports for both AP and AR.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customers regarding payments, billings, and discrepancies.

3. Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation and investigate variances.
  • Monitor company bank transactions and update records accordingly.

4. Government Compliance (PH Requirements)

  • Assist in preparing BIR forms such as VAT/Percentage Tax, Withholding Tax (1601-EQ, 0619-E, etc.).
  • Maintain organized financial documents for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in year-end and external audit requirements.

5. Payroll Support (Optional depending on company)

  • Prepare payroll summaries and assist in payroll computations.
  • Ensure timely submission of government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).

6. Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial reports (Cash Flow, Income Statement, Balance Sheet schedules).
  • Assist the Accountant or Finance Supervisor in generating additional reports as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a must.
  • 1–2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Philippine Accounting Standards and BIR compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
