General Purpose:

Drive the transformation of data into actionable intelligence by owning and orchestrating the curated, analytics, and data-serving layers. Deliver reliable, governed, and business-ready datasets while building impactful dashboards that empower stakeholders. Act as a bridge between technology, governance, and business functions to maximize the value of JSU's enterprise data assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own orchestration workflows across curated, analytics, and serving layers using AWS Glue, Athena, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Lambda.

  • Manage analytics marts (SQL, Iceberg tables, stored procedures), ensuring refresh reliability and SLA adherence.

  • Cross-Functional Performance

  • Work with IT for integration, IAM roles, infrastructure support, and cost optimization.

  • Collaborate with Data Governance Officer to ensure consistency in KPI definitions and data dictionary application.

  • Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for stakeholders.

  • Optimize Power BI datasets and models (DAX, performance tuning, row-level security).

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Use Python for data transformation, validation, and automation scripts.

  • Conduct data & analytics related training for business users and internal teams to strengthen data literacy and adoption.

Job Requirements:

  • College Graduate
  • At least 7 tears of relevant experience in Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or similar roles
  • Required Skills: Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visualization design, performance tuning); Python for automation, validation, and advanced transformations; SQL.
  • Preferred Skills: AWS service: Glue, Athena, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge Lambda; Apache Iceberg or similar table formats.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, HR, and Finance processes.
  • Willing to work onsite.
