Key Responsibilities

Data Privacy Management

  • Serve as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) as mandated by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) or assist the appointed DPO.
  • Develop, implement, and update the company's Privacy Management Program, including privacy policies, notices, and consent forms.
  • Monitor and audit personal data processing activities across departments to ensure lawful, fair, and transparent use of data.
  • Evaluate privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new systems, processes, and projects.
  • Act as the primary contact for the NPC and data subjects on data privacy concerns, breach notifications, and related compliance matters.

Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Ensure company-wide compliance with local and international privacy regulations
  • Identify, assess, and report data privacy risks; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain records of data processing activities (ROPAs) and oversee third-party/vendor data privacy compliance.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct regular privacy and compliance training, workshops, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
  • Provide expert guidance to management and staff on privacy and data protection requirements.

Investigation & Reporting

  • Lead internal investigations of data breaches or privacy incidents, ensuring prompt containment, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.

Policy Development & Review

  • Draft, review, and update policies, procedures, and contracts related to data privacy, information security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure that privacy requirements are integrated into business processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, legal, or information security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, NPC circulars, and familiarity with international standards (GDPR, ISO
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferably a Certified Data Privacy Officer or holder of relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO).
