Responsibilities

An IP NOC Engineer monitors, escalates, coordinates, and communicates business and operational incidents impacting the IP network. IP NOC is a team rostered 24/7 who perform the real-time monitoring of events, network alerts, emails, messaging platforms and calls.

The following tasks below are included, but not limited to:

· Raise incident tickets in response to monitoring alerts and reports from internal/external customers.

· Work with internal/external engineering teams, field technicians and third-party carriers to properly manage and resolve a network outage.

· Manage and communicate the incident as per incident/severity metric and guidelines defined.

· Maintain NOC's responsiveness to incidents and day-to-day performance to ensure maximum network uptime.

· Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

· Hands-on coordination and escalation of network and escalated customer incidents.

· Perform impact assessment prior the scheduled/planned network maintenance to identify any potential impact to internal and external networks.

· Responsible for updating the IP network monitoring and performing clean-up related to any network changes.

· Maintain technical capability by constantly learning and keeping up to date with the client's product and services.

· Actively seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency of NOC operations.

· Open to working flexible hours, including rotating shifts and 24/7 availability.

Skills and Experience Required

· Bachelor's or College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent

· Demonstrated strong oral and written English communication skills

· Results driven, high attention to detail with the ability to work with a sense of urgency

· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

· Must be able to learn and adapt quickly to changing and multiple task requirements.

· Knowledgeable in NOC functions/processes (good to have ITIL frameworks knowledge but not required)

· IP network knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience

· Good understanding of Internet, Ethernet, IPVPN and other ISP products and technologies

· Good incident management skills, strong documentation

· Has strong analytical thinking and technical aptitude
