Job Description

As a Sales Support Assistant, you will manage sales orders, support customer projects, and collaborate across teams to ensure seamless operations. This role combines account management, reporting, and customer service, allowing you to play a vital part in driving business success.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Operations or Sales Support role, preferably within a consumer home goods company.

  • Experience supporting both Pre-Sales and Post-Sales activities
  • Must have graveyard shift experience to align with U.S. East Coast working hours.
  • Advanced Excel skills - proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools is required.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Canva or Adobe for creating presentations, marketing materials, and other visuals.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English fluency.
  • Must have high-speed internet and a reliable backup connection.
  • Dedicated, distraction-free home office workspace.

  • Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Accounting experience - familiarity with invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.

  • Sales experience - understanding of the sales process and customer lifecycle.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Sales Order & Account Management
  • Enter and process sales orders with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Track details of accounts, projects, and orders, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates.
  • Monitor order status and proactively resolve any issues affecting delivery timelines.
  • Ensure customers submit complete and accurate purchase orders on time and follow up until received.
  • Customer Project Coordination
  • Manage projects for multiple customers/accounts, ensuring smooth progress from start to finish.
  • Complete item set-ups and vendor set-ups for customer systems.
  • Prepare and submit item information on customer portals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, logistics, accounting, and operations, to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with buyers, factories, freight carriers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Customer Service & Support
  • Field customer requests and follow up diligently, including samples, product testing, marketing assets, and technical specifications.
  • Provide timely responses and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare presentations, quotations, and proposals to support sales efforts.
  • Follow up on orders/quotes/projects as needed.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform economic analysis of items for various customers, helping to drive pricing and margin decisions.
  • Create and maintain pivot tables, advanced Excel formulas, and data-driven reports.
  • Analyze trends and performance metrics to provide insights to the sales team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects and orders progress as intended.
  • Follow up on invoices, sales order confirmations, and shipping details.
  • Work closely with factories and freight carriers when required.
  • Support internal process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Administrative Duties
  • Manage emails and key communications to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and presentations as requested by the sales team.
  • Handle ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and maintain smooth operations.
