Job Opening: Bookkeeper (Philippines – Remote, Immediate Start)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our growing business operations. This position is a 1-month contract role with the possibility of extension or long-term engagement based on performance. The successful candidate will work remotely from the Philippines and must be able to start immediately.

This role is ideal for someone who has a proven track record of providing accurate bookkeeping services for US-based companies, with strong expertise in QuickBooks and adherence to US accounting standards.

Compensation

• ₱40,000 – ₱45,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
• Paid monthly

Position Overview

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records. This includes daily bookkeeping tasks, monthly reconciliations, and preparation of key financial reports. The role requires independence, precision, and the ability to work under deadlines in a remote setting.

We are looking for a professional who is not only proficient in QuickBooks but also experienced in supporting US businesses with their accounting needs. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and reliability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
• Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expenses
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements on a monthly basis
• Generate and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports for management review
• Monitor cash flow and provide timely reports to management
• Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with US accounting practices and standards
• Work closely with management to provide financial insights and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with preparation for tax filings and audits as needed
• Respond promptly to emails, messages, and requests during agreed-upon working hours

Requirements

• Residing in the Philippines with availability to work remotely full-time
• Immediate availability to begin work upon hiring
• Reliable laptop/desktop computer with updated software and a stable high-speed internet connection
• At least 2–3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, specifically with US-based companies
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop (required)
• Strong understanding of US accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information
