Facilities Maintenance Assistant

• Performing facilities improvement, preventive maintenance and repair.


• Performing routine inspections of the building and grounds.


• Record meter readings.


• Record keeping


• Assist in conducting the facility planning functions such as ocular inspection and facilities evaluation.


• Perform technical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, troubleshooting and repair of machines.


• Perform a variety of hand tools, power tools and electric meters in performing duties.


• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.


• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.


• Assist in any related activities during emergencies, evacuation, assessment of building's safety, locating of missing employees, shutting down necessary facilities and report status to emergency team members. Secure facilities during typhoons, floods and other calamities.


• Perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment.


• Coordinate with third party accredited entities engage in pest control, janitorial, security, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other services engaged for the building, including monitoring of contract renewals.


• Preparation of needed building admin reports, billing statements of tenant's utilities and other necessary documentation. File and secures the same for future reference.


• Assist in coordinating with QC Hall and other local government units (LGU) in securing licenses, permits, clearances, certification, and other mandatory requirements, including Fire Dept.


• Provide support in the planning and/or execution of facilities improvement and maintenance projects.


• Provide technical recommendations for facilities improvement.


• Perform other related duties as required.


• Report issues to immediate head/FILM head.
