We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor for our Australian client. The role is 100% Home-Based from anywhere in the Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits, including HMO.

A rare opportunity like this doesn't present itself often Our client based in Australia, is looking for an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor with previous Australian experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in helping with upcoming tenders. You will report directly to the Estimating Manager based in Australia and will be an extension of their team.

Our Client

Our client is a specialist commercial Electrical contractor who works on Commercial projects in Melbourne, Australia. They were set up over 12 years ago, and have grown to have over 40 staff. They work with a number of repeat clients across a diverse range of projects including Apartments, Retail, Commercial Office and childcare.

The Opportunity:

The Key objectives of the Electrical Quantity Surveyor is to support support the Estimator team in winning projects. This will be mainly focused on quantity take offs for all relevant aspects of the electrical installation. Take offs are to be performed in Bluebeam and information transposed to already developed and provided excel spreadsheets. You will also be required to mark up drawings via Autocad.

Accountabilities will include:

• Complete take-offs using Bluebeam of all items relevant to complete the scope of works.
• Update and use Simpro
• Filing of project documentation received from head contractors into filing system
• Collation of documents for sub-contractors to be sent out
• Updating documents through addendums and ensuring sub-contractors are notified
• Light fitting costs entered into costing spreadsheets
• Light fitting spec/data sheet comparison for suitability against alternative offerings
• Material and cable take offs
• Assisting the team with data entry
• Contact suppliers via email for pricing
• Carry out small design tasks assigned by estimators where information may be lacking/missing on project documentation but requires pricing

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Must have previously worked in a similar Electrical Quantity Surveyor role working on Australian projects
• Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings
• Excellent experience using Bluebeam
• Previous Autocad Experience marking up drawings
• Ideally previous Simpro experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
