Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Purpose

• To provide accurate and timely end-to-end quantity surveyor services on dredging & reclamation, marine floating pontoons, quay wall, filling, marine structures, and civil works according to professional, international standards

• To provide the project management with drawings, and prepare, produce and print site maps based on Accurate and up to date measurements

Principal Accountabilities

To liaise and collaborate with the Contracts Manager and Project Manager and construction teams in all aspects of commercial and contractual activities

• Take ownership for maximizing commercial results when preparing interim payment applications and variations both upstream (client) and downstream (subcontractor, vendors) project stakeholders

• To ensure that revenue for the project is properly received, and expenses are paid out to maintain healthy cashflows

• Evaluate weekly the quantity surveyors on the accuracy of the provided calculated data and discuss if Needed with the Sr. project surveyor in case of inconsistencies

• Support project specific procurement as and when required

• Prepare and advance, interim payment applications at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company

• Prepare and in conjunction with Contracts Manager and Project Manager prepare agree the final account with client representative

• Prepare and in conjunction with Contracts Manager and Project Manager as required, prepare and agree the final account of all subcontractors

• Subcontractor remeasurement and assessment of interim payments

• Compiling the variation/change log and supporting Contracts Manager to close out and agree all

variations/changes with client representative

• Monitor the contract changes and notifications to subcontractors

• Maintain control of subcontractor's accounts and minimize the cost of any variations

• Consult the project manager regularly about progress and risks in the execution of the projects

• Provide leadership and guidance towards the quantity surveyors

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders

• Cooperate efficiently and constructively with the chief surveyor, the quantity surveyors, the production

• Estimator and the commercial department

• Provide the chief surveyor with input to ensure optimal staffing for effective and efficient functioning of the survey division following human resource procedures and processes and inform the chief surveyor

Competencies

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 10 years' experience of Quantity Surveying, in related industries

• Tendering Procedures, Contracts Administration and Preparation of Bills of Quantities

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software and other Company Specific System/Software

• Be familiar while working on numerous projects using FIDIC Forms of Contract

• Be familiar with and can correctly administer different modes of contract: measurement basis, Design & Build. and EPC

• Knowledge in Dredging, Marine Civils and Marine Construction field

• Displays a thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities and drawings

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on the ability to provide and explain reports accurately

• Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Able to supervise personnel with different cultural backgrounds

• Motivate and inspire colleagues to develop knowledge, skills and competencies

• Provide objective and Constructive feedback in an appropriate way

• Show understanding of tasks and responsibilities and achieve targets timely

Pay: Php66, Php79,875.22 per month
