Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description:

The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of all vehicles, equipment, facilities, and machinery used in logistics operations. This role ensures that all assets are in optimal working condition, compliant with safety and regulatory standards, and maintained cost-effectively to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for trucks, trailers, forklifts, conveyors, and warehouse equipment.
  • Schedule and prioritize maintenance activities to avoid operational disruptions.

2. Supervision & Team Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise mechanics, technicians, and maintenance staff.
  • Assign tasks and monitor work quality to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct regular team performance evaluations and provide coaching.

3. Asset & Equipment Management

  • Monitor equipment performance and service records.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of parts and services.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and compliance documents for audits.
  • Implement safety training for maintenance staff.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Control costs through effective resource allocation and vendor negotiations.
  • Analyze repair vs. replace decisions for cost efficiency.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Implement lean maintenance practices to increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with operations to align maintenance with business needs.

7. Documentation and Reporting

  • Submit a daily, weekly and monthly reports of maintenance update.
