Job Summary

The Pharmacist-in-Charge is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring

compliance with regulatory standards, and dispensing safe and accurate medication. This

role includes supervising Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Inventory &

Logistics personnel to ensure coordinated and efficient daily operations. The Pharmacist in-Charge is also expected to be proficient in using the IT ordering and inventory system to

manage prescription fulfillment, stock movement, and documentation required by the FDA

and other regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Pharmacy Operations and Compliance

  • Dispense medications accurately and provide proper counseling to patients and

customers

  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DOH, and local pharmacy regulations, including

recordkeeping and storage standards

  • Maintain proper documentation for prescription handling, inventory logs, and

adverse event reporting

  • Oversee cold-chain and special storage requirements for sensitive or specialty

drugs

  • Prepare for audits and assist in regulatory inspections

Team Supervision and Coordination

  • Supervise and provide daily direction to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)

on proper handling of prescriptions, customer communication, and documentation

  • Oversee the Inventory and Logistics team to ensure timely and accurate order

preparation, stock receiving, and dispatching

  • Monitor compliance of team members with pharmacy protocols and SOPs

  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings to align pharmacy, customer service, and

logistics operations

Patient and Customer Interaction Support

  • Assist CSRs with technical or prescription-related inquiries

  • Validate and review prescriptions submitted by patients for completeness and

compliance

  • Provide guidance to patients, if needed

  • Support the resolution of patient concerns related to medication, dosage, and the

like.

Inventory Management and Logistics Oversight

  • Supervise the Inventory and Logistics Staff in stock monitoring, purchase planning,

and documentation

  • Oversee stock receiving, reconciliation, and expiration tracking

  • Validate Purchase Orders (POs), delivery receipts (DRs), and inventory reports

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accuracy in deliveries and cold-chain

compliance

Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain and update pharmacy logs, prescription registers, inventory sheets, and

compliance reports

  • Submit periodic reports to management and government agencies as required

  • Maintain backup records for traceability and audit purposes

Salary Range

₱30,000 – ₱45,000 monthly (depending on qualifications and experience)
