Job Summary:
The Snr Business Analyst will support delivery of projects and lead coordination of software and system changes in the Commercial & Customer Systems Technology team. The BA will apply their skills to:
· elicit and document requirements,
· analyse and design solutions,
· coordinate with technical delivery/development teams and vendors,
· validate and test changes,
· manage software and organisational changes through to completion, and
· plan and execute implementation/cutover activities.
The analyst will support projects and initiatives throughout the lifecycle at the direction of the Project Manager, Delivery Lead, and Product Lead/Owner/Analyst.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems Implementation and Delivery
- Support delivery of major projects. Provide business analysis support and consulting advice throughout theduration of the project. Manage application configurations as part of delivery. Coordinate business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors as per delivery plan.
- Deliver BA outcomes in accordance with agree governance standards, delivery methodologies, work practices, systems and tools. Apply best practice BA methodologies to support delivery of implementation projects and system changes.
- Facilitate meetings with internal/external stakeholders to communicate updates and drive project outcomes. Appropriately escalate to senior management issues impacting delivery of application changes.
- Transition projects and system changes to operational teams using agreed handover process. Include quality documentation.
- Work with stakeholder groups to obtain engagement feedback to measure
Requirements Analysis
- Elicit business and system requirements and liaise with vendors and technical delivery teams. Act as the conduit between business and technical teams to ensure the right solution is delivered.
- Ensure detailed business and functional requirements are clearly and accurately documented. Clearly and simply articulate business requirements from a business perspective, while also producing functional documentation that provides sufficient detail.
- Review and validate high-level processes, systems, and reporting to ensure full coverage of requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis between current processes and future state processes.
Solutions Design
- Review requirements and provide recommendations regarding software solutions. Work with product owners, architecture team, and vendors to design and document solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure solution is in accordance with client's IT standards.
- Obtain key inputs from stakeholders, SMEs and architecture teams and identify solution interdependencies. Ensure dependencies and constraints from other inflight initiatives are identified and highlighted.
- Participate in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate system designs and validate proposed solutions.
Quality Assurance and Testing
- Define testing scope and work with users and testing teams to complete testing (e.g. UAT).
- Support Testing and Quality Assurance through documentation of testable requirements and execution of testing.
- Ensure configuration and changes of applications implemented match their intended design and comply with IT architectural standards.
Change Management
- Evaluate planned system and software changes to minimise risk and operational issues. Develop, review and document change management inputs, including business impact assessments, training and communication needs and risk assessments.
- Ensure changes are documented and align with the client and IT Change Management processes. Ensure changes also meet compliance requirements, e.g. PCI, PI, and cyber security.
- Communicate the change to internal and external stakeholders.
Process and Documentation
- Document existing and new processes as required. Promote standard operating procedures and follow delivery framework to ensure consistent delivery experience.

Qualifications:
- Experience in Airline reservation systems (e.g. Navitaire New Skies), Digital systems (B2C/B2B websites, mobile), Distribution systems (GDS/Codeshare/Interline/API), Payment systems (Payment gateways/portals) , and Departure Control Systems (e.g. Navitaire) -
preferred - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent technical skills with understanding of software development concepts and databases and Familiarity with integration concepts and data flows between systems
- Proven knowledge and experience in complex, multi-system environments.
- Experience in Business Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Experience in Business Process mapping and modeling
- Excellent commercial understanding, e.g. from business studies or work experience
- Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project work and process analysis
- Good communication skills both written and verbal; Able to communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Airline (especially low-cost carrier) / travel industry experience is beneficial, but not essential
