Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports to: Chief Finance Officer / President / School Director

Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the institution, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with government regulations, and effective management of resources. This role plays a critical part in supporting the school's mission by safeguarding financial sustainability and providing strategic financial guidance to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and monthly/annual reports for management and board meetings.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources aligned with academic and operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, tax requirements, and educational institution financial policies.
  • Oversee tuition fee billing, collections, scholarships, and other student-related financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders for financial audits and reporting.
  • Supervise payroll, benefits, and disbursement of funds in coordination with HR and administration.
  • Implement financial controls, policies, and risk management strategies.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making on capital expenditures, grants, and institutional investments.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • Experience in the academic, nonprofit, or service industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in school finance management (student billing, grants, endowments, or scholarships).
  • Experience handling financial audits for academic institutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php60, Php80,000.00 per month
