Risk Analyst

The Asset Protection Associate is a key remote team member supporting the safety, security, and loss prevention efforts of our wireless retail operations. Based internationally, this role focuses on driving accountability for failed safety and security procedures, ensuring law enforcement documentation is secured for insurance purposes, and supporting the Asset Protection Specialist with operational audits, cycle counts, and video reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and basic insurance documentation needs. (preferred but not required)
• Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Drive, Outlook) and incident management tools.
• Highly dependable, discreet, and capable of managing sensitive information.

Experience

Preferred: 1+ year experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or retail operations (wireless or telecom retail preferred).

• Experience working in a remote support role across international borders.
• Understanding of retail audit procedures and inventory accuracy controls.
• Exposure to video surveillance platforms and digital case file organization.

Challenges or Opportunities (Position might face)

1. Time Zone Differences Challenge: Coordinating with U.S.-based Performance Directors (PDs), store staff, and law enforcement can be delayed due to time differences. Impact: May cause slower response times when urgent follow-up or documentation is required.

2. Remote Law Enforcement Coordination Challenge: Obtaining hard copies of police reports from various jurisdictions in the U.S. can be difficult remotely. Impact: Delays in gathering required documentation for insurance claims, especially when law enforcement agencies have different procedures or limited digital accessibility.

3. Lack of Physical Presence Challenge: Not being onsite makes it harder to get context behind safety/security incidents or verify visual cues. Impact: Relies heavily on video review, reports, and third-party communication to validate case facts.

4. Holding Teams Accountable Remotely Challenge: Establishing authority and urgency when addressing safety/security violations without in-person influence. Impact: Potential for pushback or slower compliance from store teams or PDs.

5. Managing Confidential Information Securely Challenge: Handling sensitive legal, personnel, and financial data from a remote location requires strict data security measures. Impact: Risk of data mishandling if systems or procedures aren't airtight.

KPI's (Position will be measured)

Days to collect PD reports, Days to close cases, Cases Closed VS Cases open, Insurance claims submitted, Cycle count completed and amount recovered
