An accounting supervisor is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and regulations. They prepare financial statements, reports, and tax filings while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards. The role also includes analyzing financial data to support decision-making and advising management on financial planning. Accounting Supervisor may also handle budgeting, auditing, and reconciling accounts to ensure the organization's financial health and integrity.

Job Specifications

General Accounting Tasks;

  1. 1Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures;

  2. Process accounts payable/receivable, expense reports, and bank reconciliations;

  3. Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) entries and subsidiary ledgers;

Financial Documentation;

  1. Ensure proper filing of financial documents and compliance with PFRS (Philippine Financial Reporting Standards);

  2. Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., trial balance, aging reports);

Tax Compliance Support;

  1. Help maintain tax records, including invoices, receipts, and BIR forms (2303, 2307, etc.);

  2. Assist in preparing and filing tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Quarterly Alpha List of Payees, Summary List of Sales and Purchases) in compliance with BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) regulations;

  3. Support in responding to BIR inquiries and audit requests;

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA licensure or ongoing CPA/CTP certification progress preferred.

  • At least 5 to 10-year work experience in tax/accounting.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Philippine tax laws (e.g., TRAIN Law, BIR filing deadlines).

  • Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables).

  • Exposure to BIR eFPS or eBIRForms is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills in English and Filipino.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
