Key Responsibilities:

  1. Petty Cash Management:

    • Maintain and manage the company's petty cash fund.

    • Ensure proper documentation and approval for all petty cash disbursements.

    • Reconcile petty cash at the end of each month and submit reports to the supervisor.

    • Ensure petty cash is available for business needs while adhering to budget limits.

  2. Checks Release:

    • Process and release checks to vendors, employees, or other payees.

    • Ensure all checks are accurately prepared, signed, and issued in a timely manner.

    • Maintain proper records of all released checks.

    • Handle any inquiries or issues related to checks.

  3. Statement of Accounts Review:

    • Assist in the preparation, verification, and review of statements of accounts.

    • Compare statements with accounting records to ensure accuracy.

    • Resolve discrepancies and report findings to the accounting supervisor.

    • Communicate with customers or suppliers to clarify account balances when necessary.

  4. Financial Assistance and Monitoring:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including account reconciliations.

    • Monitor transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

    • Provide general support in the review of the company's financial status.

    • Help track outstanding balances and follow up on payments when needed.

  5. General Accounting Support:

    • Assist with data entry and other accounting functions as directed.

    • Help in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.

    • Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned by the accounting supervisor/manager.
