Job Purpose:

The Section Manager for Network is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role oversees a team of network engineers and specialists, ensuring the delivery of reliable connectivity and support across all business units. The Section Manager plays a critical role in aligning network strategies with organizational objectives, managing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvement in network operations and technologies.

Job Description:

Network Architecture and Strategy:

  • Plans, establishes and oversees hybrid network infrastructure (both on-premise and azure)
  • Designs WAN/LAN/WIFI solutions for retail branches and corporate offices.
  • Spearheads initiatives for network modernization and hybrid cloud adoption

Azure Network Configuration:

  • Establishes and manages azure networks (VNETS), network security groups (NSG), VPN Gateway, express route, and azure firewall.
  • Sets up security connection between local infrastructure and azure. Monitors azure network performance and cost, optimizing both.

Operations and Maintenance:

  • Assure uptime and performance for the organization's mission-critical systems (POS, ERP, Inventory, Etc.).
  • Oversees network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.)
  • Manages network coverage, monitoring, patching and documentaiton

Security and Compliance:

  • Develops, maintains network security protocols and Technologies

Team and Vendor Management:

  • Supervise a team of network engineers and technicians
  • Develops ang manages relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Cloud Vendors and Device/Hardware Vendors

Project and Incident Management:

  • Oversees all network-related projects, including but not limited to new store buildouts/upgrades.
  • Provides rapid response and resolution for network incidents/outages, etc.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Graduate of BS Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related course

Required Skills:

  • 10 years of working experience in network administration, with at least 5 years in managerial role
  • Proven experience in Azure network services and hybrid cloud environments
  • Strong knowledge of CISCO, Fortinet or similar enterprise network technology
  • Experience in a multi-site retail environment is highly preferred
  • Excellent skills on leadership, communication and problem solving
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Strong analytical thinking to trouble shoot complex network issues and make timely, data-driven decisions
  • Can work in a fast-paced retail environment with changing priorities, technologies and business needs
  • Strong Communication Skills: With clear and efficient communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders including store personnel, vendors and executives
  • Customer Centric Mindset: Understands the impact of network performance on customer experience and retail operations, and prioritizes accordingly.
  • Attention to Details: Ensures accuracy in network configurations, documentations and compliance reporting.
  • Accountability: Takes Ownership of network performance, security and reliability across all environments
