Main Role

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation in compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role involves managing payroll data, calculating wages, maintaining payroll records, and resolving any payroll-related issues. The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in supporting financial accuracy and employee satisfaction within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cycles).
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and government reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including income tax, social security, and other statutory deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies or errors.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, and payroll policies.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance departments on payroll-related matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
