Position Overview: As a Project Manager in Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage teams, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining a high standard of quality and adherence to project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and mentorship to team members.

Contract and Subcontract Management:

  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

Budget and Cost Control:

  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure construction activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to minimize risks.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates and address concerns or issues promptly.

Project Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
