Job Summary:

The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow. This position ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, and provides management with accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management

  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure company operations are well-funded.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

2. Accounting Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books and preparation of financial reports.
  • Maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Supervise reconciliation of accounts and review journal entries and supporting schedules.

3. Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other government regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and internal audit teams for periodic reviews.
  • Ensure timely filing of taxes, permits, and statutory reports.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and report on variances with explanations and corrective actions.
  • Support project cost monitoring and analysis in coordination with the Project Management and Procurement teams.

5. Leadership and Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff to ensure high performance and accuracy.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows within the finance department.
  • Foster continuous improvement and promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the construction industry or related field is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and taxation laws.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php60,000.00 per month
