Description
This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.
About the School:

About The Role
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
As the Schools Officer (Grounds & Facilities) you will not be required to perform any task or repairs that would normally require the services of a qualified tradesperson.
The range of duties undertaken by the Schools Officer (Grounds & Facilities) include however are not limited to:
- Maintaining and enhancing the school grounds
- Supervised by the school's Business Manager and working closely with them on a variety of tasks relating to the maintenance and repair of the school's equipment and facilities
- Using and maintaining school security system
- Cleaning duties (outside the normal operating hours of the school's cleaning staff)
- Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Transporting banking & mail to post office
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsiblities of the position as directed by the Business Manager and Principal
