electrical engineer

Primarily responsible for overseeing the safety and maintenance of designated properties and ensuring that these properties are in compliance with all applicable regulations. The Senior Electrical Engineer cum Building administrator recommends improvements to the property as needed to ensure a safe, functional, and appealing space.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Electrical Engineer:

· Maintains, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial or commercial purposes.

· Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical innovations.

· Drawing up plans using computer-assisted engineering and design software.

· Estimates material and labor construction costs, and project timescales.

· Coordinates technicians and crafts people.

· Tests installations and systems, and analyzing data

· Makes sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulation and guidelines.

· Oversees inspection and maintenance programs

· Attends meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and tenants/clients.

· Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the management.

As Building Administrator:

1.Electrical

· Prepares Electrical bill based on the consumption of the tenant.

· Oversees security, fire prevention, and other safety systems.

· Maintains electrical equipment, tools etc.

· Ensures that equipment and systems are maintained in proper working order.

· Conducts weekly warm-up on generator.

· Conducts yearly Preventive Maintenance on Genset, Fire sprinkler, Smoke Detector and others.

· Implements periodic monitoring of tenant electrical installations

2.General

· Resolves any complaints, problems, and requests from building tenants.

· Ensures that the tenant renovation / repair conform to the construction guidelines.

· Maintains a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and Persons with Disability (PWD) access.

· Assists with emergency response and evacuations.

· Identifies customer requirements (especially in events area).

· Reads design specifications and technical drawings

· Researches suitable solutions and estimates costs and timescales

· Communicates with tenants/clients and contractors

· Records, analyze and interpret test data

· Supervises Maintenance staff.

· Implements monthly cleaning of drainage and other related sewage treatment facilities.

· Schedule Monthly Pest Control Application.

· Schedule quarterly Aircon Maintenance.

· Prepares all Delivery receiving report.

3.Civil

· Inspects the building frequently for signs of damage or wear & tear.

· Contacts/contracts professionals for building repairs as needed.

· Implements preventive maintenance as the need arises.

4.Pollution Control Officer

· Secures all the permits required from DENR.

· Monitors activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, waste disposal, and water quality standards; the PCO and the head of the establishment shall be responsible for any violation of P.D 984 and its implementing rules and regulations committed by the establishment where the offices is employed.

· Supervises the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities of the establishment.

· Thus, Quarterly Self-Monitoring Report to be submitted at Environmental Management Bureau.

· Reports within reasonable time to the Authority the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated and actual date of completion/repair and operation.

· Recommends to the management the installation and operation of additional equipment for the pollution abatement facilities

· Handles other matters of environmental concerns as required by his/her employer.

5.Safety Officer (COSH)

· Implements and monitors on a timely basis the construction, occupational, health and safety of all staff/persons involved including the tenants and tenants' customers

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education

: Graduate of BS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Experience

: Preferably with at least 2 years experience

Other Skills

: Advanced computer skills

Proficient AutoCAD 2d

Basic AutoCAD, 3d / Sketchup

With working experience in the construction an advantage

With Professional license and advance

Able to read building plans and schematic diagram.

High attention to details and excellent analytical skills
