About the role

We're seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team at Acbel PolyTech (Phils.), Inc. in Calamba City, Laguna. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing inventory records and fixed assets, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Record acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and adjustments of fixed assets in the accounting system.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register and supporting schedules.
  • Assign and track asset tag numbers for all new acquisitions.
  • Compute and record monthly depreciation expenses based on asset categories and useful lives.
  • Reconcile the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger monthly.
  • Review depreciation schedules for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of periodic physical inventory of fixed assets.
  • Reconcile physical count results with accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with departments regarding asset movement and location verification.
  • Prepare fixed asset reports and supporting documents for internal and external audits.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. 1-2 years of experience in inventory and fixed asset management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting but fresh graduates are encourage to apply
  3. Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
  4. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Knowledge of relevant accounting and financial regulations
