Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist day to day role includes coordinating the monthly payrolls with our external payroll service provider, working through input and liaising on the progress of work to ensure deadlines are met. Answering payroll related queries from the business and employees, along with assisting on ad-hoc requests and projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in coordination with our payroll provider. Provide payroll related guidance to staff, management and HR.transfers

• Ensure accurate processing of all new employees, international relocations, and assignments in Workday. Provide first line of support to the payroll service provider in processing all monthly payrolls

• Support the end to end processing of company monthly payrolls.

• Liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries, escalating when necessary

• Liaise with HR to ensure accuracy of employee data

• Contribute to ad-hoc reporting and projects when required

Experience / Competences

Essential

• Experience of managing outsourced payroll providers

• Familiarity with UK PAYE requirements and principles and US federal and state income tax withholding system.

• Knowledge of key global mobility processes with respect to payroll matters

• Experience of dealing with complex employee queries

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word

Desired

• Experience working in the financial services sector

• Experience of using Workday Payroll

• Experience and knowledge of payroll requirements in UK and US locations

• Experience of payroll projects & integrations
