Role Overview:

The Hygiene Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across all hotel operations. This position ensures that all hygiene protocols—especially those related to food safety, guest areas, and staff facilities—are rigorously implemented and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in all departments, especially food and beverage areas
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and local health regulations
  • Oversee internal and external laboratory testing for food safety and environmental hygiene
  • Train staff on hygiene best practices, including infection control and safe food handling
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, corrective actions, and compliance reports
  • Collaborate with culinary, housekeeping, and engineering teams to uphold luxury standards

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background in public health, environmental science, or hospitality
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and local health codes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and training abilities
  • Experience in hotel or healthcare hygiene management is preferred
