Warehouse Officer

Responsible for the efficient management of the hotel's warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods and supplies. The role ensures accurate inventory control, proper storage practices, and timely distribution of items to various departments within the hotel, maintaining compliance with hotel policies and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of goods and materials from suppliers.

  2. Ensure all items are stored safely and in the correct storage conditions (e.g., temperature-controlled areas for F&B items).

  3. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems or inventory software.

  4. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records.

  5. Issue items to hotel departments (housekeeping, F&B, front office, engineering, etc.) based on approved requisitions.

  6. Monitor stock levels and notify procurement for reorder when necessary.

  7. Organize the warehouse layout for efficient space utilization and easy access to items.

  8. Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are applied to all stock, especially perishables.

  9. Coordinate with the purchasing department regarding incoming and outgoing goods.

  10. Enforce safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards within the warehouse at all times.

  11. Manage waste and expired items according to hotel policy and local regulations.

  12. Supervise warehouse assistants or storekeepers, if applicable.

  13. Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock movement and consumption reports.

  14. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior or manager from time to time.
