Senior EHS & Facilities Safety Specialist (Safety Officer 3)

Location: Taguig City

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dual-skilled Senior EHS & Facilities Safety Specialist (Safety Officer 3) to manage comprehensive safety, health, environmental, and facilities-related safety programs. This critical role oversees both the ongoing safety of our corporate building/facilities and the strict compliance of any related construction/maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Safety Professional with strong leadership and facilities management acumen.


Key Responsibilities

A. Occupational Safety & EHS Compliance (Construction & Operations)

  1. Overall Monitoring and Implementation: Conduct overall monitoring and implementation of safe, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions across all workplaces, including office areas, technical maintenance zones, and active construction sites.
  2. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict adherence to DOLE/OSHA standards (including Construction Safety 29 CFR 1926), local building codes, and environmental regulations.
  3. Hazard Management: Serve as the subject matter expert for high-risk activities (e.g., LOTO, confined space, fall protection, fire safety).
  4. Incident Management: Lead and conduct detailed root-cause investigations. Secure and file documents such as the Safety Recommendation Report (SRR) and the Incident/Accident Investigation Report (IAIR), and manage the official submission of all injury/illness reports.

B. Facilities Safety & Administration

  1. Building and Tenant Safety: In charge of overall safety monitoring and implementation for all tenants, visitors, and clients, including emergency preparedness and access control.
  2. Facilities Oversight: In charge of building facilities, including oversight of safety components during building enhancement and beautification projects.
  3. Supervision & Coordination: Provide overall monitoring and supervision of the office keeper and technical maintenance personnel/contractors, ensuring all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
  4. Emergency Response: Develop and coordinate Building Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), including evacuation drills and training specific to the corporate facility.

Qualifications

Requirement:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Experience

Experienced and dual-skilled in an EHS role, covering facilities management or corporate building safety.

Certification

Mandatory possession of a valid DOLE Accreditation (Safety Officer 3) or equivalent. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) is highly preferred.

Knowledge

Expert knowledge of DOLE/OSHA Construction & General Industry Standards and practical understanding of Building Administration and maintenance safety protocols.

Skills

Excellent leadership, technical inspection skills, root cause analysis proficiency, and strong communication abilities (written and verbal).
