Position Summary

The IT Helpdesk is responsible for providing technical support to employees by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT-related issues. This role ensures the reliability and functionality of IT workstations, systems, and networks while supporting both onsite and remote employees in meeting technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, track, and resolve IT support tickets and customer-reported technical issues to resolution
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair IT workstations, peripherals, and related accessories
  • Track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory and technical records
  • Perform technical assessments for applicants and employees working from home to ensure compliance with IT requirements
  • Provide support for VPN connectivity and basic home router troubleshooting for remote employees (recommended but not required)
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues including installation, configuration, and system errors
  • Resolve basic web browser and application-related issues
  • Support structured cabling setup and system configurations
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications
  • Provide basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Support VoIP systems and related configurations
  • Maintain confidentiality of company systems, passwords, and sensitive information
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the IT Manager to support IT operations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical knowledge of PC hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in managing and resolving IT support tickets
  • Basic networking and connectivity skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and common business applications
  • Strong problem-solving and customer support skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company systems and data
  • Willingness to work onsite and on a shifting schedule

Preferred:

  • Experience with VPN networking and home office setup troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Experience with VoIP systems
  • Familiarity with structured cabling and network configurations
  • Background in providing IT support for remote employees
