The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Outpatient Call Center Representative to join our team. This role involves handling incoming calls in a remote call center environment, assisting patients with scheduling, insurance verification, and general inquiries while ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously in a remote call center environment.
  • Effectively transfer calls to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Schedule new patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
  • Obtain insurance coverage details, complete eligibility and benefit verification.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on patient requests and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Document all interactions clearly and accurately in the system.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to manage calls and patient information.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Experience: Prior call center or healthcare-related customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and sensitivity to patients' needs.
  • Ability to multitask and work across multiple systems.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
Service Fee:

Industry standards applicable to the state depend on work experience and level of expertise.

Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) - Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm
