Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
  • Manage and lead a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure that orders are completed on time, adjusting processes as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure the proper operation of machinery and equipment, conducting regular checks to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Ensure the quality of the corrugated boxes produced meets customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records, reports, and logs (e.g., production rates, waste, downtime).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train and develop production staff, ensuring proper skill levels, safety awareness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and work with the procurement team to ensure adequate supply levels.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in corrugated box manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify production inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and the ability to maintain high product standards.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • A degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
