About the role
STAFFHOUSE INTERNATIONAL RESOURCES CORPORATION is currently looking for an Employee Relations Officer for Overseas Workers who is responsible for managing and maintaining positive employee relations between the company, its deployed workers, and partner employers overseas. This role ensures that all overseas employees are supported throughout their deployment — from onboarding and deployment monitoring to issue resolution, welfare assistance, and contract completion — in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the overall employee relations framework for overseas workers from deployment to repatriation.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and welfare programs tailored to overseas deployment.
- Supervise the Employee Relations team in monitoring the welfare and performance of deployed employees.
- Oversee the handling and resolution of employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and welfare concerns in coordination with partner employers and government agencies (DMW, OWWA, etc.).
- Ensure proper documentation, investigation, and due process in all ER-related cases.
- Coordinate closely with foreign principals, HR counterparts, and government bodies to ensure adherence to employment contracts and labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with DMW/POEA regulations and internal company standards related to employee deployment, welfare, and discipline.
- Supervise the repatriation process, including final pay coordination, clearance, and exit interviews.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR field, preferably in the industrial/manufacturing sector
- Thorough knowledge of Philippine labor laws and regulations, including the Labor Code, Social Security Act, and other relevant legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on finding mutually beneficial outcomes
- Proficiency in HR data analysis and report writing
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
