Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for overseeing complex accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and review general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial data and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS) and internal policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and documentation.
  • Process and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting transactions as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or AIS
  • With at least 1-2 years of experience in related field
  • Knowledgeable in accounting software e.g., QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, principles, and reporting requirements.
