About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on
Technical Support Specialist
to serve as the first line of technical support for our team. This role is focused on resolving day-to-day help desk tickets, supporting users across hardware, software, and cloud systems, and ensuring smooth operation of accounting-specific tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support to team members via phone, email, chat, or remote access tools
- Troubleshoot user issues related to hardware, software, VPN, and cloud platforms
- Provide technical support for CPA firm applications, including UltraTax and Thomson Reuters
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of users, including device setup and permissions
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base for internal tools and workflows
What We're Looking For
- Experience:
At least 3+ years working in a CPA firm or professional services environment. - Education:
AS or BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. - Certifications:
Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Azure Administrator, or similar. - Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Office 365, remote access tools, and common cloud-based platforms
- Familiarity with CPA-specific software such as UltraTax, Practice CS, or similar applications.
- Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills, with a hands-on approach to IT operations.
