Case Closing Specialist

Setup: Fully Remote (Candidates must be based in the Philippines)

Work Hours: Full-Time, Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Philippine Time)

Candidates must have prior legal experience working with U.S. law firms and/or within domestic legal settings.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Case Closing Specialist to support our personal injury law firm clients. The ideal candidate has experience finalizing cases, managing settlements, and resolving liens. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, organized professional who ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in closing cases

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize settlement statements and closing documents.
• Review settlement disbursements for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with clients regarding settlements and disbursements.
• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and accounting for fund distribution.
• Resolve medical liens and subrogation claims.
• Maintain organized records of closed cases and documentation.
• Ensure all case closing procedures follow firm policies and legal/ethical standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably with a focus on U.S. civil litigation.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
• Proficient in legal research methods and experienced in drafting legal documents.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
