About the role

As QA Lead of Underwriting Team, you are responsible to effectively manage the operations of the underwriting support unit. Oversees and takes responsibility for the overall performance of the quality assurance officers. Provides support in maintaining, publishing, and communicating underwriting policies and procedures to stakeholders. Devises plans and support of the company's business goals has direct control of its implementation. Directs the overall activity / operations of the unit within the limits of company guidelines and policies.

How you'll contribute

  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures using the operations manual and underwriting guidelines to control risk
  • Monitors daily productivity, service delivery, and quality of work to achieve target
  • Proactively identify, plan, and implement initiatives to achieve or improve productivity, service delivery and quality of work
  • Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time

What we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or any related field.
  • Audit & Quality Assurance Expertise: Proven experience in audit, compliance, or quality assurance, preferably within the financial services, banking, or lending industry.
  • Credit process Knowledge: Strong understanding of credit assessment, underwriting standards, loan documentation, and risk management practices.
  • Leadership & People Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team; experience in coaching and performance management is an advantage.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to evaluate data, identify gaps, and recommend effective process improvements.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present findings clearly.
  • Time & Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure timely completion of QA reviews.
  • Service Orientation: Customer-focused mindset, ensuring quality service delivery while upholding compliance and risk standards.
