Job Description
As a Finance and Accounting Officer, you will oversee reconciliations, invoice and payment processing, loan and contract administration, and financial reporting. You'll play a vital role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency across international business operations.

The Qualifications We Seek
- 3-5 years in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience with Xero and integrated payment platforms
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation, chart of accounts management, and inter-company balancing
- Familiarity with loan administration, contract processing, and B2B financial arrangements
- Exposure to collections processes and Australian financial regulations (preferred)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Zoho CRM and external payment platforms (a plus)
- Must have have strong internet connections and within 1 hour travel time of an Emapta office
Your Daily Tasks
Account Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across all accounts, ensuring alignment between Xero, payment platforms, and records
- Manage inter-company transactions and reconciliations across entities
- Support EOM and end-of-year reporting with reconciled data and supporting documentation
Invoice & Payment Processing
- Approve and process customer and operational invoices in Xero
- Manage supplier payments, reimbursements, and payment scheduling
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts
Loan & Contract Administration
- Create and edit customer payment schedules for variations, cancellations, upgrades, or early payouts
- Assess applications for B2B contracts, ensuring compliance and viability
- Register/discharge PPSR and document all contract-linked transactions
Collections & Customer Finance Support
- Monitor overdue accounts and assist in collection activities
- Process dishonour fees, adjustments, and account updates
- Maintain accurate customer financial data in Xero and integrated systems
Systems & Process Management
- Enhance Xero and payment platform integrations for accuracy and efficiency
- Identify automation opportunities and process improvements
- Liaise with external accountants for audits, compliance, and ad hoc requests
Working Environment
- Remote setup with collaboration across Australia and international teams
- Regular use of financial, CRM, and payment systems
- Virtual meetings for reporting, updates, and planning
