The General Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and the timely closing of financial periods. This role leads a team of accountants and works closely with senior leadership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Fixed assets
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP or applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
  • Maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate audits (internal and external), tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead and develop accounting staff through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate historical data and trend analysis.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems or process improvements.
  • Stay current on accounting trends, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php100,000.00 per month
