Job Title: Record to Report Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:

As a General Accountant specializing in Record to Report (R2R), you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. You will be responsible for managing various accounting functions related to month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports as required.

Month-End Close Process:

  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of the accounts on a monthly basis, including the posting of journal entries and adjustments.

  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

Balance Sheet Reconciliation:

  • Perform regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as necessary.

  • Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations and adjustments.

Compliance and Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls throughout the reporting process.

  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including tax, treasury, and finance, to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.

  • Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices in the accounting function.

  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Record to Report role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Experience with financial consolidation and reporting processes.

  • Familiarity with financial audit practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php54,000.00 per month
