The role in a nutshell:
The Accountant will assist the Accounting delivery team in the execution & delivery of our client accounting services. This role involves managing specific client deliverable tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role also contributes to the development of overall delivery of our services.

How you will make a difference:

• Manage general accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Preparation of financial statements (such as balance sheet, profit & loss and cash flow statement etc,).
• Oversee and execute month-end and year-end close procedures, including accruals, adjustments, and reporting timelines.
• Perform regular reconciliations including vendor, debtor, and bank accounts, and conduct variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee employee expense reporting, ensuring adherence to company policies and accurate reimbursement processes.
• Prepare and post general ledger (GL) entries and journals, and maintain control over the integrity of financial data.
• Compute and support direct and indirect tax calculations, ensuring alignment with current tax laws and audit requirements.
• Maintain professional client relationships, responding promptly to queries and supporting financial documentation as required.

What will give you an advantage:

• Accounting Qualification (or equivalent)
• In-depth knowledge of accounting terminology
• Solid foundation in accounting principles, regulatory requirements, risk management.
• 2 to 4 years accounting operations experience, preferably experience in accounting services.
• Should have experience in specific industries, which can be crucial for specialized financial reporting and compliance.
• Significant skills in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve misunderstandings
• Excellent consultative abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with varying level of customers and partners.
• Significant prioritization skills: ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment by prioritizing situations which require a sense of urgency
• Demonstrable flexibility & adaptability in challenging situations showing good judgement.
• Significant problem-solving skills that show a flair for creativity as befits the situation.
• Demonstrable customer service skills that enable the customers to always feel valued
