We are seeking a dedicated Medical Coding and Billing Specialist to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and efficient processing of billing, coding, and related tasks to support our mission of delivering exceptional medical nutrition therapy nationwide. This individual should align with our vision and mission and enjoy improving and automating the various workflows that they will be responsible for.

Key Responsibilities:

Eligibility/benefit checks and patient demographic updates.

Patient Collections

Communicate with clients via email or over the phone in a courteous and professional manner.

Provide support and guidance on billing and insurance-related queries from clients and staff.

Weekly meetings to review productivity and processes.

Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in medical billing and customer service within the healthcare industry. Preferably some experience working with outpatient dietitian practices.

Strong understanding checking eligibility and benefits.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.

Experience with Healthie EMR/EHR, or Google Suite a plus.

Position Details:

Type: Full-Time

Location: Fully Remote

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST
