POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans and specifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in preparing project schedules, manpower loading, and work plans.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor daily construction activities and progress.

2. Site Supervision

  • Oversee work execution to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and prepare reports.
  • Monitor availability and usage of manpower, equipment, and materials.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily accomplishment reports (DAR), weekly progress reports, and other required documentation.
  • Assist in preparing Request for Inspection (RFI), Material Inspection Request (MIR), and site instructions.
  • Update project logs and maintain organized technical documentation.

4. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure all works follow approved plans, technical standards, and project quality procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks and coordinate corrective actions when needed.
  • Support QA/QC team in inspections and testing.

5. Cost & Materials Management

  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) and assist in cost estimates.
  • Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
  • Coordinate material requisition and delivery schedules.

6. Safety Compliance

  • Ensure strict implementation of safety protocols and site regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Safety Officer for toolbox meetings and incident reporting.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Assist the Project Manager in meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Address site concerns and report critical issues immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed CE preferred but not required).
  • At least 2–4 years experience in construction projects (vertical or horizontal).
  • Knowledge of construction management, engineering drawings, and QA/QC standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD; knowledge in MS Project is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Willing to be assigned at project sites.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily site-based; exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Overtime, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on project needs.
