Settlement Officer (Onsite, Mercury Software Exp)
Job Description:
- Manage all post-approval loan activities through settlement and post-
- Liaise with banks, lenders, and solicitors to coordinate settlement dates and documentation.
- Ensure insurance details, disbursement instructions, and settlement documents are accurate and complete.
- Use Mercury to track and update the status of loans and maintain comprehensive records.
- Conduct compliance checks to confirm that lender and regulatory requirements are met prior to settlement.
- Work closely with brokers and internal stakeholders to verify final loan conditions and required documentation.
- Monitor settlement timelines and follow up with relevant parties to prevent delays.
- Provide post-settlement support, including confirming loan disbursements and managing updates to client records and trailing commissions.
- Support the team with various administrative and documentation tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in loan settlement coordination or a similar post-approval lending operations role.
- Proficient in using Mercury (loan management software).
- Familiarity with ApplyOnline (AOL) and LoanApp is a plus.
- Strong understanding of home loan settlement procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
